On a recent Sunday morning, my husband and I had the honor of attending the Holy Redeemer Institutional Church of God in Christ in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, under the leadership of Dr. Valerie Daniels-Carter. Reverend Wheeler Parker Jr., the cousin and last surviving eyewitness to the abduction of Emmett Till, delivered an inspiring sermon during the service. Following the service, a meet-and-greet session was held, during which Reverend Parker shared his personal experiences related to Emmett Till and conducted a book signing for his memoir, A Few Days Full of Trouble.
